At any time, a disaster could impact our community, a family member, or a close friend, even you.   When it does, pain, suffering, even life and death depend on how well we are prepared and the resources we have ready. Our local Citizen Corps organizes and coordinates volunteers and resources that will make our communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to any emergency situation.  We provide training and opportunities in which to participate to make your families, homes, businesses, and communities safer from the threats of crime, terrorism, and disasters of all kinds.  We need your participation, leadership, innovation and support to make our local Citizen Corps strong and responsive. We are not just one organization but one of over 2,300 Citizen Corps across the nation working, learning, and training together to build a safer, stronger, and better prepared and responsive nation – one community at a time.    Time and time again, our nation witnesses the enormous contribution of volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and businesses in response to emergencies and disasters. Across the nation at local, state, and federal levels, initiatives are underway to identify and organize these resources so we can be better prepared and more responsive.
