Cathryn Gabor is a strategic HR expert and business advisor with global expertise managing HR organizations for Fortune 200 corporations. She worked for AXA Equitable, W.L. Gore & Associates, Capital One and Tellabs, the later three listed on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in America list during her tenure.
Cathryn relocated to Houston in 2008 with her spouse, which prompted her resignation as Senior Vice President, Talent Management & Human Resources at AXA Equitable, a financial protection and insurance firm that is part of AXA Group, Paris, a worldwide leader in financial protection and wealth/asset management. Cathryn was located in New York City prior to moving to Houston.
While at AXA, Cathryn’s primary responsibilities included Learning & Development, Employee Relations, HR Communications, Recruiting & Mobility, Executive Search, Performance Management and Succession Planning. While in New York, Cathryn served as a member of the Women’s Bond Club, which is one of the oldest professional organizations for women in Finance. Cathryn also served as a WBC Mentor, which offers scholarships to young women that are pursuing an education in the financial marketplace.
Cathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She is also a certified facilitator for a variety of programs and is a graduate of Darden’s executive education program on Change Management and IMD’s executive education program on Finance.
Cathryn is currently on a self-imposed sabbatical and is pleased to be consulting with Executive Service Corps Houston.
