Professional Background: Jas Gill retired from Cytec Industries Inc in December 2007 from his last position of President, Building Block Chemicals Division. In this position he was fully responsible for the operation of the business globally reporting to the CEO. Prior to joining Cytec Industries in 1997, he had long career with Chemical Division of Olin Corporation where his last position was Director Of Manufacturing responsible for Lake Charles, Shreveport, and Beaumont manufacturing sites. Jas hold a Chemical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University and an M.B. A. from University of Chicago. As a volunteer Jas has served as member of the Board of Directors for United Way of Lake Charles, United Way of Greater New Orleans, Louisiana Chemicals Association, Louisiana Recovery Authority, Member of the Governors Advisory Council on Disability Affairs for the State of Louisiana, Chairman of the Petrochemical Cluster for River Parishes Economic Development for Greater New Orleans area. He served as member of the Governor’s taskforce that restructured the Louisiana State Economic Development Department during Governor Foster Administration.
ESCH Experience: After relocation to Houston area late 2008, Jas joined the ESCH team as a consultant. He is member of the Consultant Relation team, coordinating recruitment of new consultants and is the project coordinator for ESCH's new Financial Fitness for Nonprofits program. He also serves on ESCH's Development Committee. His recent projects include:
• Working with another ESCH consultants,Paul Cuneo, to support the development of a Strategic Plan for the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance organization.
• Organizing ESCH's Financial Fitness for Non-Profits (FFNP) program for ESCH
• Piloting ESCH's Financial Fitness for Non-Profits program with Houston Galveston Institute
