Professional Background: Bill Madison retired from Marathon Oil Company in December, 2000 after a 35 year career with Marathon in primarily the oil and gas production business with additional assignments in the refining and marketing organization and in corporate services. In his last position Bill was Senior Vice President of World Wide Production and was responsible for all of Marathon’s production operations and project development. He was a member of Marathon’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Bill graduated from Montana Tech( formerly named Montana School of Mines) in 1965 with a B.S in Petroleum Engineering and attended Harvard’s Program for Management Development. Bill, his wife Cheryl and children have lived in Texas since 1993, this for the third time, and prior to that lived in New Mexico, Alaska, Louisiana, Ohio, Aberdeen, Scotland and London, England. Since retiring Bill has been involved with the Montana Tech Foundation, a 501,3C organization, and has recently completed a six-year term on the board including two years as chairman. He also does some energy consulting and is on the board of an independent oil company in Calgary, Alberta. |
