Professional Background: Elmer A. Milz retired from Shell Development Company in 1987 following a 42 year career with five Shell Companies in various field offices in the United States, the New York head office, the Royal Dutch Shell office in the Netherlands, Shell Company of Venezuela in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Shell Pipe Line Corp. in Houston, and the Shell Development Co. in Houston. He has held technical, technical management, and operating management positions covering most aspects of the Exploration and Production business. His final assignments were first as Director of Research for Shell Pipeline Corporation and then as Manager of Research and Development for transportation systems and engineering for Shell Development Co. In his later years with Shell he undertook special short-term assignments in Japan, Australia, Great Britain and on the north slope of Canada and Alaska. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy.
Since retirement he has resided in Houston with his wife of fifty six years. He has held office and been a director of The Torch Club, The Pioneer Oil Producers Society and the Exchange Club of Memorial. For recreation he enjoys fishing, boating, swimming and scuba diving. |
