EXECUTIVE SERVICE CORPS OF HOUSTON

CONSULTANT

FRANK ALLEN

Professional Background:  Frank is a senior project manager with the Shell Oil Company. In this capacity, he manages global information technology (computer) projects to improve Shell’s efficiency and effectiveness.  Frank holds a bachelors degree in computer science from the University of Missouri.  He has lived in Houston since 1977.  Frank has also volunteered with Big Brothers, served as a Disaster Action Team member with the Red Cross, done extensive phone counseling as a volunteer and trainer for Crisis Hotline of Houston, and served on the boards of a non-profit flying club and a townhouse association.

ESCH Experience:  Frank joined ESCH in 2005 and since then has helped several nonprofits through management consultation services.  Frank’s particular areas of expertise are information technology (computers) and coaching on project management skills.

Some of Frank’s clients and projects include:

  • Amigos de las Americas, an organization that provides young adults opportunities to build leadership skills via community development programs in Latin America. Amigos requested a technology assessment to assist with planning for future growth. Frank helped them understand their current technology strengths as well as specific areas for improvement.

  • The Art League of Houston promotes the public appreciation of and interest in the visual arts.  In response to their request, Frank evaluated their personal computer network to provide guidance in preparation for their move to a new facility.

With respect to his ESCH experience, Frank says “I’ve met some truly dedicated and inspirational individuals from the non-profit sector who are working to make the world a better place. I’m gratified to be able to share some of the best practices and knowledge I’ve gained from the corporate environment.”
