Professional Background:  Tom Potts retired from Exxon in 1986 after a 37 year career. In his last position, he was Products Distribution Manager for Exxon Company USA. In this position, he was responsible for the operation of the terminals, warehouses and delivery systems for Exxon Marketing in the United States. He holds a Bachelor Mechanical Engineering degree from Cornell University.  He has lived in Houston since 1971. In addition to volunteering at ESCH, he volunteers in the United Way MAP and tutors disadvantaged children in the Sherwood Elementary School in Spring Branch ISD.  He serves on the Volunteer Advisory Board of /SBISD.   ESCH Experience:  He joined ESCH in 1987 and since then has helped many nonprofits, schools and government agencies through training and/or management consultation services.  Some of his recent clients and projects include: Serving as mentor to the Director of the Women and Family. Shelter of the Star of Hope over a five-year span of monthly meetings, conducting focus group meetings with staff and with residents, and participating in training sessions for residents.
