Arrival of the children
The children of TGN project happily and joyfully arrived in a group of 45 and they were warmly welcomed by the LCH children who ran and each one hung onto his/her friend.
Breakfast and lunch
Breakfast was served immediately after the welcoming speech. It is mandatory that children must be served with breakfast because we believe that for the whole day children are in our hands. So porridge was served.
Playing and personal interactions
After breakfast, Paul and Stephen, (visitors from Tomball Bible Church) played with the children in different games. They gave them some tips in football and basketball. Indeed TGN children enjoyed the play.
Bible Study
Paul was the teacher, Stephen did the drawing and Betty did the interpretation. It was interesting the way Stephen did his drawing, very funny. He didn’t know how to draw, children laughed and all that was done just to keep them attentive. The story of Jonah in the Old Testament was told and the lesson was that children should listen to what God and their parents tell them.
Counseling and guidance
Betty just continued from where Paul stopped. She discussed with them what an obedient child is, what she/he does and why God punished Jonah. We too can be punished by God through different things when we disobey him. She encouraged them to be obedient to their parents and guardians as the people God has placed before them to nurture them to maturity. The topic seemed touching because the children were all quiet and attentive.
Departure
After the teaching, children were urged to play for some time. Before the departure, sodas were served and then they left at 5:45 pm.
